A few weeks ago I took a much needed yet delayed trip up to Lush. Like most people, I utterly love Lush's products and often spend far more money than I should in there, hence the delayed trip part! Anyway, I bought this along with a few other things, but particularly felt this deserved a post on my blog. I was first drawn in by the lovely scent of this bath bomb, which I can only describe as a mix between lavender and lemon and a typical lush scent, which all combine together to give a fresh scent. The bath bomb itself is packed full of goodness such as sea salt which helps remove dead skin cells, lavender oil to cleanse and smooth out your skin while giving a very calming affect, and also lemon oil, which gives a uplifting and refreshing twist to big blue.

Big blue is also crammed full of seaweed pieces which help detoxify your skin, and gradually soften as the hot water gets to them. I personally loved the seaweed touch along with the bright blue colour the water turned from big blue, as it all tied in really well to give a sea side/calming effect, and although there was a fair bit of seaweed in the bath, it was easy to clean after as a majority of it had gone down the plug anyway. The lovely scent had filled up my whole bath room and is still lingering on my skin a good few hours after the bath!

Overall I'll definitely be stocking up on this sometime soon and its become a firm favorite of mine from Lush's!

Anastasia dipbrow pomade

When it comes to my eyebrows, I've always sworn by the beauty UK brow pallet ever since I tired it late last year. Now, while I do still think its a amazing product and a great bargain, recently something else has caught my eye (and brows). I wanted to start going for a more ombre eyebrow look, something I just couldn't achieve with the beauty UK eyebrow pallet, and I started seeing many posts about the Anastasia brow products. I stalked the internet for a bit, before finally opting for the dipbrow pomade from Beautybay for £15 with free shipping!

There's a variety of 9 colours to pick from so I should imagine there's one suitable for everyone. I was split between dark brown and chocolate but eventually opted for chocolate.
 It arrived in two days and I was eager to try it as soon as possible, and I can safely say it did live up to my expectations. The first thing I noticed with this is how little product is needed. I literally needed to dip my brush in once and it covered my whole brow without me needing to reach for more product, so considering the actual product is in a hollow pan, I can see it lasting a very long time. I also noticed how this didn't move an inch on my face throughout the whole day, and the lasting power is great considering the actual consistency of the product is creamy and gel like. Although the colour was near enough spot on it was slightly too light, although its nothing drastically noticeable I might opt for the dark brown next time,although I cant imagine it too be much more darker. What won me over with this product is how its made such a difference to my eyebrows and allowed me to create ombre natural looking brows, something I previously could never do. The gel like consistency would allow you to create any style of brows you'd like.

Although being a tiny bit too light this little jar of magic has definitely won me over! Have you ever tried this or anything from Anastasia before?

Philosophy state of grace fragrance wardrobe

                                                           
Philosophy is a brand which I've definitely grown too love the last few months, ever since I discovered their shower gels, which are lovely. My moms a big fan of their pure grace perfume which I absolutely loved the smell of and had loved it ever since, so you can imagine my happiness when I opened this little gift set on Christmas day!

The philosophy state of grace fragrance wardrobe contains 5 mini fragrances from philosophy, all of them being from the 'grace' range, including the loved among many pure grace fragrance. I'm not so good at describing scents; but each one of these has a very clean crisp scent about them. Each one is well lasting and I can still smell after a good 6 hours after applying, which is pretty impressive considering I use a sparse amount each time I use one.

Although they obviously have individual scents about them, they all do have that much beloved typical philosophy scent with them while remaining unique. I've tried all of them and love them all however my firm favorite remains pure grace, which has received many compliments when I've worn it, and has a lovely clean crisp scent too it, which I can only really describe as a clean soap scent, in the best way possible. I normally go for very floral sweet scents so its nice to stray away from the usual and try something else, and I can definitely see pure grace becoming a everyday fragrance for me at some point soon!

Max factor colour elixir lipsticks

When it comes to lipsticks; or any lip product for that matter, I always tend to go for red. Red red red. I don't know why but its the only colour I can seem to really properly pull off without looking clown like? The irony of it. Anyway, I recently got these two lipsticks from Max factor. Max factor isn't a brand I really buy from often, although I've sometimes seen posts which have encouraged me to go and try things from them, for some reason I steer away from the brand. Anyway, I was on the look out for a moisturizing, non drying lipstick as no matter how often I moisturize my lips, the cold weather is really getting to them. No one likes the cracked lip look which is only made worse when teamed with a drying lipstick. I'm glad I found these little gems, and for £6.99 they're more than worth it.

The main reason I was swayed into buying these was the elixir side of the lipstick. If elixir is good enough to do peoples hair wonders, then its bound to be good enough for my lips. The 'elixir' treatment in the lipsticks boasts ingredients such as Shea, avocado and aloe butters, as well as a anti oxidant white tea, which sounds pretty impressive in itself. I got the colours cherry kiss and ruby Tuesday, despite being very similar, I swear they're not and the photos don't give them justice. Cherry kiss is more of a post box red out of the two, while ruby Tuesday is edging on a slight more berry colour (again photos don't do any justice).

I was surprised at how moisturizing these were on my lips, and they worked treat at hiding my cracked lips rather than showing it more. I always find that the more moisturizing a lipstick is; the quicker it comes off, but these lasted a good 6 hours fading only slightly throughout that time, so needless to say I'm impressed. I'll definitely be looking at some more of these to get in the future, and Max factor is a brand I'm going to be trying out a lot more from now on.

When it comes to Soap & glory, they never fail to impress me and I could even go as far as saying I haven't tried a bad product from them yet (?!). And this is certainly no exception to that statement. I bought this from boots for £16 some time ago around my birthday, and have used it religiously ever since. It claims to be a have a 'zesty, citrusy, fresh orange' array of products, and although It does smell orangey and really wakes me up in the morning, for those of you who are looking for a genuine orange scented body butter/wash/spray this isn't for you. The body wash is my favorite of all three, it lathers up lovely and lingers on skin for a good hour after a shower or bath, which doesn't sound much but on a Monday morning, i really can appreciate it and the scent really does help me wake up a bit more. The sprays definitely has the most true to life orange scent and lasts around 4-5 hours when used with the body wash and body butter. I love all the products and despite using them near enough daily they've lasted well. I'll definitely be looking around the boxing day sales to try and get another one of these! They make a great present for someone, or in my case myself!

Nair argan oil hair remover

I think we can all agree on hair removal being a pain, but luckily for us Nair have us covered with their shower power cream. Not only does it claim to leave skin smooth and soft; it also contains Argan oil, Jojoba oil and coconut butter to help nourish skin while removing hair.

It comes with clear simple instructions to use the plastic spatula provided and apply a thick even layer of cream on wherever you use the cream (its gentle enough for use on legs, bikini area and underarms.) then wait for 2 minutes before hopping in the shower, waiting for a few more minutes before taking the plastic spatula and removing the cream.

The first time I used this I noticed how it left my skin feeling really soft, compared to other hair removal creams I've used in the past which have left my skin burning! It definitely worked some magic and left my skin smooth and hair free for a good few days, and left my legs really moisturized the first day of using it.
It does have a rather strange scent to it, which isn't exactly a horrible smell, just rather strange; But this didn't  faze me too much as it went as soon as the product washed away. For best results I'd recommend simply applying and waiting about 5-6 minutes before hopping in the shower, rather than getting in earlier as I found it washed away product without really giving it a chance to work.

I'll definitely be purchasing this once I run out, which I cant see happening for a while as you really don't need to use that much product to see results with this, as long as you have a reasonable amount it does the trick. It is definitely a great product for the price and it does the trick while leaving my legs smooth and moisturized too!

Fujifilm Instax mini 8

I've wanted one of these for sooo long, and luckily enough for me; a few weeks a go I got one for my birthday! I absolutely love the whole concept of these cameras, and the fact that within a few minutes you have fully developed photograph in your hand rather than a digital one on your phone. I love the little retro look of this camera, and it comes in some lovely colours (pink, yellow, white, black; you name it!).

Despite the film working out at around £1 per photograph, which as pricey as it sounds, luckily for us they come in packs of ten and you can easily scout around on amazon for bulk film which works out slightly cheaper. Each photo is the size of a credit card, and has a slight effect on them making them even more appealing! The camera itself even tells you automatically what setting you should have on, although my photos don't give it justice, it actually has little lights above the lens which turn on to indicate which setting is the best to use!

I absolutely love this nostalgic form of photography and love the whole concept of the photo printing out straight away so you can keep it forever! Have you got one of these?

Bath & body works hand sanitizers

One of the many reasons I'd love to live in america is that they have Bath & Body works over there. A shop which sells so many different scented candles, body lotions, body mists and various other little things is literally my idea of heaven, and if I lived in America I would no doubt spend nearly all my money in there as often as I could! Sadly however, here in the UK they don't have any Bath & Body works shops, nor do Bath & Body works ship too the UK (sigh). Luckily for me though, I was lucky enough to get my hands on some various Bath & Body works bits, including these hand sanitizers.

I got 5 different 'scents', if that's what you'd call them? Including Iced gingerbread, sweet pea, sugar plum dream, warm vanilla sugar and sweet clementine. The first thing I noticed was how all of them smell absolutely lovely! I noticed how the sweet clementine almost smelt of calpol a bit while smelling of oranges at the same time, if that is even possible haha?

Anyway, it smelt lovely never the less and I was also surprised of how long the scent lasted after I had used them! I'm a bit obsessed with always having hand sanitizer with me at all times and I cant stand the thought of germs, so the fact that these are anti bacterial and smell great makes me love them even more! I'll definitely be on the look out on amazon/ebay for some more of these.

Blissful mistful & Vanilla kisses

I'm a massive fan of sweet smelling things, and its not often two sweet smelling products can be worn together which don't horrendously clash. However, I seem to of found possibly one my favorite scent combinations yet? I love both these products and those of you that follow me would of seen my post about Zoella's Blistful Mistful (you can see it here) and Impulses vanilla kisses has been my go to spray ever since I've tried it. So naturally, I decided to try them together and I loved the way they smell together!

Although I have to go light handed with the both of them when wearing them together to avoid smelling far too overpowering, with the right amount from both they compliment each other perfectly and leave a lovely sweet/floral scent. I feel like this may not be the perfect Autumnal scent, but nevertheless I love it and come summer I'll be wearing it even more!

Wizard bubble bar

The wizard bubble bar was part of Lush's Halloween range and despite Halloween being come and gone, I still feel this bubble bar deserves a post on my blog.

The actual bubble bar itself is purple and has a silver shimmer to it, and although the bubble bar itself looks like a wizards hat, it has a little face with two eyes and a little yellow star on it too.

With a mix of ylang ylang, fennel, tangerine and juniperberry oils, this is a pretty amazing bubble bar when it comes to the scent of it, and although I've read some posts on this bubble bar saying the scent doesn't last long and isn't very strong, I found that mine was actually quite strong and the scent stayed on my skin for a few hours after my bath, and it also left my skin feeling soft! Despite the bubble bar itself having a lovely shimmer to it, after my bath had been drained there was no residue or shimmer left at the bottom of the bath, which is always good!

I definitely wish I had bought some more of these before they vanished of shelves and will be keeping a look out for it next year! Did you try this bubble bar?

Beauty UK eyebrow palette

Filling in my eyebrows are the most frustrating part of my everyday makeup, and its safe to say I have a massive love hate relationship with them (although most days at 7.00am when I'm getting ready for school, its mainly hate). Although my eyebrows aren't the thinnest they could be, sadly for me nor are they the thickest or flawless they could be and look much better filled in.

I've tried countless products to help fill in my brows, and a firm favorite of mine was the collection 2000 eyebrow definer pencil which was the star of my makeup bag for at least 6 months, but after watching countless YouTube tutorials of girls shaping and filling their brows, one thing I noticed was they all recommended power to fill in brows as it gives a much more natural, longer lasting look. I saw this in superdrug for £3.99 and decided to give it a go.

Its fair to say this little nifty product is more than worth its price, it includes a small pair of tweezers and brush, a setting wax and a choice of 3 shades depending on your colouring, which is pretty good considering most company's either have light or dark to choose from when it comes to brow fillers. I have dark brown hair and use a mix of the dark brown and lighter colour, and it gives me the perfect shade without looking too dark. As far as the setting wax goes, I've only used it once or twice so I cant really say much about it, but the powder lasts a good 6/7 hours on its own anyway, so I can only imagine the setting wax would add to this, and possibly give a more sleek look.

I cant really think of many downsides to this, I've been using it for about 2 months and I only have positive things to say about it. One thing I would have to say is that it doesn't have a mirror which would be useful, but taking into consideration what you get for such a low price, I really cannot complain. I would definitely recommend this to anyone on the look out for a cheap brow powder and will be repurchasing this when needed!

                                                  Pore penetrating mask, £5 Avon. 

Since I was about 13, I always remember having blackheads on my nose, which really isn't very appealing. I've been through face wash after face wash targeted at busting blackheads, various face masks and nose strips and nothing ever really worked wonders for me, until now.

I ordered this from the sale in Avon months ago, it was around £2.50 and I wasn't really expecting anything special, but I couldn't of been more wrong. Without beating around the bush, this face mask is literally a miracle worker for me. Within a few uses, near enough every blackhead had disappeared and it left my nose extremely soft, I was absolutely amazed!

The only thing i disliked about this is how it felt while drying on my skin, it felt very tight and I could barely even smile by the time it had dried, but I really cant complain considering how much this has worked for me and for the price, even £5 in my opinion is such a great price for this.

I really cant recommend this enough to anyone who suffers from blackheads to give this a go because it really has worked wonders for me and the price is great for what it is, a little goes a long way too!

I've been wanting a few brushes from sigma for a few months now, but me being the cheapskate I am the cost was always something that put me off. I discovered these little gems on ebay, a 10 piece brush set which look suspiciously similar too sigma brushes, so I thought why not! I ordered them straight away for just a mere £9.95 with free postage, and they only took about 4 days too come, so needless to say these were a absolute bargain!

For just £9.95 you get 5 face brushes and 5 face brushes. Now, as you can probably tell from the photos, I have already used the face brushes as they are dirty (Apologies!) and I have to say, these are no doubt the softest brushes I have ever used, even compared to my real techniques brushes. So far I've had no shedding with any of the brushes which is great, for the price I expected a lot less from these brushes.

All the brushes have a silver handle which make them resemble sigma brushes so much. The face brushes include a flat angled kabuki, a angled kabuki, a flat kabuki, a round kabuki and a tapered kabuki which is my personal favorite! At some point i'll probably do a more in depth post on the face brushes, after I've used them for a few more weeks.

As for the eye brushes, you get a precision flat angled, precision round, precision flat, precision angled and a precision tapered which is perfect for working eye shadow into the crease and blending, although I think this could even possibly be used for concealer.

So i'm sure unless you've been living under a rock recently, you've all heard or even own something from Zoella's wonderful range by now. The whole range costs £5, excluding the makeup bags and the body mist which both cost £8. The range includes a body lotion, candle, two makeup bags, a fizz bar and also a bath/shower cream.

Anyway, ever since the range was announced I've been dying to get my hands on something from it, so as soon as it hit my local superdrug i snapped this up right away. I have been using this for a few days now and I have literally fallen in love with this and can already tell its going to be one of my must haves from now on. I'm a complete sucker for anything that smells sweet or floral, and this definitely does without being too overpowering at the same time, which is always good.

Its not great for lasting all day, but does last a good few hours without needing to be sprayed, which is what I'd expect from a body mist. Honestly you just can't go wrong with this, It smells lovely and the packaging is so pretty and for just £8 its a absolute bargain, I've already got my eyes on the candle and makeup bags!
